The breakthrough in our relationship came when my grandma passed away 2 years ago. In my whole family, only my grandma, cousin and I are Christians. As my grandma had specified that she wanted a Christian funeral, my cousin and I had to oversee the funeral arrangement and wake services.

Initially, it was agreed that my cousin’s church would take care of the night services. However, they were not able to help out at the last minute. Out of desperation, I called my Zone Pastor then and told him the situation. Without a word, he came down with my zone SLs and leaders that night to minister to my family.

For the rest of the nights, my Pastors and Leaders came down to share God’s Word and minister to my family. When my brother saw God’s love through the Pastors and Leaders, and how I take care of the funeral arrangement, he changed his attitude towards me.

Slowly, he started to open up and talk to me. I knew then that God had changed his heart towards me. Furthermore, God has also brought the whole family closer together in these 2 years. In this July, we even go for holiday together as a family. This is our first holiday in 15 years.

I thank God for working in my family and bringing us closer together. It is because of Him that there is love and peace in my family. I will continue to pray for another breakthrough, that the whole household will be saved. Amen!

I would like to share with you a testimony of God's protection over me.
 
I was travelling for work in the Netherlands. I had to take a train from one city to another.
 
The carriage I was in was almost empty. I  placed my computer bag (which contained my passport) between me and the window - a rather secure position, one might think. 
 
At one of the stops, a man boarded the train and sat in the seat across the aisle from me. After about 10-15mins, he got up and dropped a whole lot of coins on the floor in my direction. Instinctively, I bent over to help him retrieve the coins.
 
As I did so, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and warned me that my computer bag with my passport was being taken. I immediately turned around and found that my notebook bag was indeed missing. (He had a partner who reached for my bag from the seat behind me as I bent over).
 
I immediately got up and grabbed the guy who had dropped the coins on the floor. Holding him by the front of his shirt with one hand, I shouted at the other guy who was running away with my bag. He turned around and immediately held up both his arms in a gesture of surrender and walked back towards me. There was a look of fear in his eyes.
 
He then placed my computer bag on a seat at the end of the carriage and continued to be in a "surrender" posture. I retrieved the bag and only then did I let his companion go. They both quickly jumped off the train as the doors closed and the train pulled away from the station.
 
I was puzzled why both of them seem terrified and didn't try to get away with the bag. Size wise, I was not any larger than them and they definitely outnumbered me. The guy I was holding onto could have easily broken free if he had tried. So I know for sure it was God's protection over me. He had struck my assailants with fear, such that the thief surrendered and returned my bag. I thank God for His protection. Amen!
